MAIU Japanese Restaurant

Went to MAIU Japanese Restaurant for dinner just now! This restaurant is famous for their buffet! I would say it's really worth the price you're paying! Do try it if you have time!
I didn't eat that much this night because I had a REALLY heavy lunch, which I will blog about the place soon. But I think I ate more than what I've paid, that is what most of us want right??? Hahaha
It's located at Sri Petaling.

The nice interior.
They were playing Kpop songs from the kitchen!
Impacts of globalisation hahaha!

The menu is quite extensive, ranging to sashimi to tempura to cold dishes to sushi and noodles.

Just write how many portions of the item you want and hand it over to the waitress and wait for your food to arrive!

My all time favourite Chuka Idako!
I can have like 10 portions alone!

Sashimi Platter!
Their sashimi is very fresh!
I think a good tip for eating fresh sashimi would be going to restaurants with many customers everyday, because this means they will have to replenish stocks more often.

Saba steak!
It was sizzling on the stone plate when it arrived!

Cawanmushi!

Forgot what's this but didn't really like it...
Maybe I was already too full by the time I ordered this...

Fried Salmon Head!
My all time favourite too!

Beef sukiyaki.
Terrible.
Don't order this.

Cha soba. (Cold noodles.)
Awful too.
Don't order this either.

BBQ beef skewer.
The onion spring in between was too over powering for me.
Perhaps they should use scallions instead.

Chocolate Ice-cream, Green Tea Ice-cream and Wasabi Icecream.
Yes OMG wasabi Ice-cream...
It tasted like.... Vanilla Ice-cream and Wasabi combined.
Quite interesting!

Comments:
Food: 7/10
Fresh Sashimi, quite good in general.
100 times better than Sakae though!

Service: 8/10
Greets well like a normal Japanese restaurant.
Service was prompt despite full house.
Polite and alert waiters/waitresses.
Totally worth the service charge

Ambience: 7/10
Quite cosy, simple yet not cheap looking decor.
Tables of different sizes to cater for all crowds.
Bonus 0.5 for playing Kpop! Hahaha!

Price:
So you guys must be wondering... How much is it?
Tada... It's only RM43.80+!
So after tax it comes to about RM48.20 per pax!
Very very worth it i would say!
The sashimi platter would have already set me back for RM90 minimum if I were to order ala carte!

I really recommend this to everyone out there!
Just spam sashimi and you would have already "eat back" what you paid!
